A very good friend of mine from VT worked on the 74th floor of Tower 2.


He lost a lot of friends and co-workers that day. He's alive today because he had been breaking in a new pair of shoes and, because he put a couple of Band-Aids on a blister, he missed the train into Manhattan that morning. He got there a half-hour later than he otherwise would have and was still outside when all Hell broke loose. He was saved by a blister.
